| After a full year of development, Komet Amplification is proud
to introduce the highly anticipated Komet Limited. The Limited incorporates
a new circuit designed by Ken Fischer, and as a tribute to this
legendary amp designer; the Limited honors the classic Trainwreck
tradition of having a solid hardwood cabinet. The cabinet is hand
crafted from exotic African Bubinga, with a contrasting flame maple
V front and is finished to the quality of fine furniture. |

| The new Trainwreck designed circuit as well as Ken's
specially designed power and output transformers; offer a new sound
for this model. Unlike the Komet 60, Ken designed the Limited to
operate exclusively with EL 34 power tubes. This allowed him to
design the circuit and transformers as well as select each component
to get the very best from EL34 tubes without any compromises. The
amp has more gain than Ken’s other designs for Komet and incorporates
a solid state rectifier. The Limited offers benchmark EL 34 tone
with rich complex harmonics, creamy rhythms, and singing leads,
all reinforced with a strong, bold, tight, low end bass response. |
| Traditional Trainwreck principles are followed in the design and
construction. The Limited is a single channel amp and does not have
reverb, master volume, effects loop, foot switches, pull pots, transistors,
chips or anything else that degrades tone, harmonic complexity or
touch sensitivity. Like all Komet amplifiers the chassis is solid
1/8” welded aircraft grade aluminum and only the finest components
are used. |
| The custom cabinet is a work of art and is hand crafted out of
exotic African Bubinga incorporating half blind dovetail joints,
creating a strong bond which also adds a decorative touch. A one
piece flame maple " V " details the signature Komet motif.
The cabinet is solid heirloom quality hardwood including the amps
back panel and is finished superbly. |
| *The controls, switches and jacks are enhanced by custom gold,
anodized front and back control panels. A precision 10-turn bias
control, bias test points and a *Fast - Gradual *switch are included
on the amp. |
Price of the Komet Limited Amplifier is $4899.00
Each Limited will include New Old Stock 12AX7 pre amp tubes and
current production EL34 power tubes as the standard tubes. Optional
upgrades include NOS Mullard XF3 or XF4 staple plate EL34s at
$325.00 per matched pair, NOS Mullard XF2 single getter welded
plate EL34s at $350.00 per matched pair or NOS Mullard XF2 double
getter welded plate EL34s at $375.00 per matched pair. * Quantities

Due to the labor intensive nature to produce
this amp and the difficulty acquiring quality wood and NOS tubes
only 30 of these limited edition amplifiers will be available.
In the classic Trainwreck tradition and in respect to the heirloom
quality wood, the Limited does not have a handle or holes to mount
one drilled into the top of the cabinet. (Due to the nature of
exotic wood, the amount of figure and the type of figure in each
amp is unique and different. Each amp will not have the exact
same type or amount of figure as show in the pictures above. Color
streaks, grain inconsistencies, etc are normal and add to the
beauty and uniqueness of real wood)
