- The Komet Road case is an ATA 1/4" series case and are designed and built to meet AND exceed the Airline Transportation Association (ATA), Specification 300, Cat. 1 standards
- ABS Plastic Laminate - in standard black, laminated to 1/4" hardwood plywood - all laminates are made with a birch plywood, not luan
- Three spring loaded recessed handles with 3/4" padded grip; bail stops at 90 degrees, top case handle is over-sized for added comfort
- Two Heavy Duty recessed latches with kick-out springs
- Eight 14 gauge, zinc plated, steel ball corners
- Four 18 gauge steel clamps
- Re-enforced double angle edge extrusion
- High quality, 2 lb. density, 1" ester foam through-out for shock protection
- Two slabs of high density, 1" plank foam in bottom to support weight
- Optional Airbrake partitioned section 3 and 3/4" wide storage compartment lined with 1/4" Thick 2lb. Density Ester Foam for Airbrake, Cables, Additional Tubes, etc.
- Every rivet (except those that go through metal already) are backed with steel washers for added support
- All hardware is backed with washers at key stress point
- Oval domed Komet logo on front
